  I've gone to the HR Block in Eagle River for years. We went to this one today because we moved into town and literally left after an hour without finishing our taxes because tax rep Kathleen Smithson had no idea wth she was doing. She made assumptions about my costs for school. Instead of asking how much I paid out of pocket, she took my total cost for the year and subtracted my scholarships then entered that as how much I paid out of pocket. Umm no! I don't need the IRS coming after me. I only paid $1400-ish out of pocket not $6500! She also made assumptions about other things that we kept having to correct her because we were watching closely after her inability to print documents or save a document to her computer. I will never return and this woman needs to find a new profession before she screws some poor unsuspecting tax newbie over.
